The Santa’s Fuel Hoodie by PrintMyVibe is a cream unisex pullover for the people whose December runs on caffeine. Across the back, three drinks stand in a row: an iced coffee in a Santa hat with a green straw, a red mug heaped with whipped cream and two cinnamon sticks, and a to-go cup with a small Christmas tree on its sleeve. “Santa’s” arcs above in glossy red script and “Fuel” sweeps underneath in deep forest green. The joke is gentle and it is one everybody in the office understands by the second week of December. Nobody is fuelled by cookies and milk – they are fuelled by the third coffee before lunch. It is a Christmas hoodie that is about the season rather than about a costume, which is why it gets worn on ordinary weekdays instead of only to the one party.

Cream is the deliberate choice. Most Christmas apparel is red or green on red or green and looks like a uniform. On cream the red and green read crisply, the whipped cream and the iced coffee keep their colour, and the hoodie itself goes with jeans and a parka the way a white or black one does not quite manage.

About our printing: The design is pressed into the fabric rather than sitting on top of it, so there is no stiff plastic panel and nothing to crack at the fold. Each hoodie is printed by hand in our North York studio and inspected before it ships.
