Halloween has a disposability problem. Most of what gets bought for it is designed to survive one evening — a plastic pumpkin bucket, a costume worn once, decorations that go into a bin on November 1st and get thrown out the following year because they’re cracked.

None of that is a gift. It’s a prop.

The Halloween things worth buying are the ones that are still in use in February. A cobweb on a canvas tote is a graphic. A black cat on a tee is a cat. PrintMyVibe presses totes, mugs and tees by hand in North York, Toronto — here’s the October range, and the dates you need to order by.

Order by these dates

Halloween 2026 falls on Saturday, October 31. Production is 1-3 business days, plus delivery on top.

Those are comfortable dates, not tight ones. Later than that may still work — message us and we’ll tell you honestly rather than take the order and hope.

The spooky season range

Spooky Season is retro lettering under a hand-drawn cobweb, a spider dropping on a thread, a small orange crescent moon, a scatter of four-point sparkles. It’s a trick-or-treat bag on the 31st and a grocery bag every other day of the year, which is the entire argument for canvas over plastic. 30cm x 36cm, 23cm strap drop, double-stitched straps — it takes a serious haul without splitting halfway down the street.

Black Cat Vibes is for anyone whose Halloween costume is being themselves slightly harder. Reads as seasonal in October, reads as a graphic tee in March.

Boo-tiful & Hey Booty is two 11.8oz mugs designed as a pair — the one for a couple who start decorating in September. Two mugs, one joke, split across them. It’s the closest thing we make to a Halloween gift that isn’t a costume.

Spiderweb Mug is hand-drawn cobwebs wrapping the whole mug, small spiders dropping on threads and one orange crescent moon, with a black interior and handle against white ceramic. It’s the one that stays out past October, because black-and-white line work with a single orange accent doesn’t read as costume on November 2nd.

And for the sweater-weather end of the season rather than the spooky end:

I Hate Autumn is a big painted heart with “I hate autumn” written across it in a light script — for the person who complains about the cold every single year and still books the apple-picking trip. Pumpkin Spice & Coffee and Autumn & Coffee carry the season from the first week of October into November without leaning on skulls, and Cozy Season does the same for the tote.

Trick-or-treating: canvas beats plastic

The Spooky Season tote is the practical pick for a kid on the 31st, and it isn’t close.

A plastic bucket holds less, splits when it’s full, and is landfill by November 2nd. A 30cm x 36cm cotton tote with double-stitched straps holds the whole night’s haul, survives being dragged along a sidewalk, and becomes the library-book bag in January.

We don’t make children’s costumes and we’re not going to pretend otherwise. What we make is the part that’s still around afterwards.

Hosting? Order the boring quantity

If you’re running a party, the useful order isn’t one clever mug. It’s four or six of the same thing, handed to people as they arrive or used as the actual mugs you serve mulled cider in.

There’s no minimum on our orders, mixed designs in one run are fine, and per-unit pricing improves on larger quantities. Send us a number and a date and we’ll quote it with a real timeline.

A mug at the door beats a plastic cup, and it’s the only party favour anyone keeps.

What’s on in Toronto this October

Worth planning around if you’re buying for someone here:

  • Nuit Blanche — October 3-4, overnight, free art installations across the city
  • Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland — runs most of the month after dark
  • Halloween itself — Saturday, October 31, which means the party weekend and the night itself are the same weekend this year

That last point matters for ordering. In a year when Halloween lands on a Saturday, the demand compresses into one weekend rather than spreading across two. Order earlier than you think you need to.

Why the print survives the season

Cheap seasonal merchandise has the design stuck on top of the surface as a separate layer. It looks fine in October and an edge has lifted by the following year, which is why so much Halloween stock feels disposable.

Our mug designs are baked into the surface of the mug, so there’s no separate layer and nothing to peel. The totes and tees are pressed by hand in our North York studio and hold up to normal washing. Care instructions are on every product page and ship with the order.

Viby’s note 🐾

Viby’s Halloween rule: if it goes in the bin on November 1st, it was never a gift. Buy the thing that’s still on the counter at Christmas.

For more of the October range, our Halloween shirts and gifts guide covers the tee side of the season, and cat lover gifts covers black cat season specifically.

Halloween order questions, answered

Halloween 2026 is Saturday, October 31. Production is 1-3 business days plus delivery, so order by Monday October 26 for GTA delivery, or Wednesday October 21 for shipping elsewhere in Canada. For a party the weekend of October 24-25, move both dates back a week. A fully custom design needs another 2-3 days on top.

The Spooky Season tote bag is $27.99, the Black Cat Vibes tee is $34.99, the Spiderweb mug is $28.99 and the Boo-tiful & Hey Booty mug set is $56.99 for two 11.8oz mugs. There’s no minimum order.

Yes. It’s 30cm x 36cm in 100% cotton canvas with double-stitched straps, so it handles a full haul without splitting the way a plastic bucket does — and it goes on being a grocery bag afterwards.

The couple mug set is squarely Halloween. Everything else is designed to survive the season: the cobweb tote reads as graphic rather than costume, the black cat tee is just a cat tee in March, and the autumn mugs carry into November comfortably.

Yes. There’s no minimum, mixed designs in one run are fine, and larger quantities get better per-unit pricing. Send us a quantity and a date and we’ll come back with a real timeline rather than a guess.

Yes — send us the artwork or the idea and we’ll confirm it presses cleanly at size before printing. Custom work adds an artwork approval step, so start it earlier in October rather than later.

Yes. Mug designs are baked into the surface rather than stuck on top, so there’s nothing for water to get under, and they’re dishwasher safe. Totes and tees wash normally — full care instructions are on each product page.
