Skull Tote Bag — Large Gothic Skull Canvas Tote

The Skull Tote Bag by PrintMyVibe is a large natural cotton canvas tote carrying something closer to a Victorian engraving than a Halloween decoration: a pyramid of weathered ivory skulls, cracked and aged, with warm amber light burning in every eye socket. Around them runs an ornate black baroque frame of scrolls and flourishes, studded along its edge with a border of tiny skulls.

This is the gothic end of the season rather than the cartoon end. There are no pumpkins, no bats, no lettering and nothing that pins it to a single week in October. It reads as dark academia – the bag you carry to the library or the record shop – which is why it keeps getting used long after the decorations come down.

The detail is the point of it. Up close each skull has its own cracks and shading and the frame has real depth; from across the street it reads as a bold dark shape on cream canvas. That works on the large blank in a way it would not at a smaller size, because there is room for the frame to breathe.

This is our larger blank – 40cm tall by 38cm wide with a 30cm handle drop, against the 30 x 36cm of most of our totes. The extra height makes it a genuine everyday bag: a laptop, a notebook, a water bottle, keys and a sweater all go in at once, and the longer handles clear a winter coat on the shoulder.

About our printing: The design is pressed into the canvas rather than stuck on top, so there is no plastic panel to crack and nothing to peel at the fold. Each bag is printed by hand in our North York studio and inspected before it ships.
